Have we talked about mining yet? Mining and mineral exploration startups have raised nearly $800 million over the past 18 months. Startups like KoBold, VerAI, Durin, Maverick Materials. This doesn’t even include the automated earth moving startups like Bedrock and Lumina. This week, Mariana Minerals announced $85 million in funding from a16z and YC to build a software-first mining company. Hot sector.

GridServe, a 9-year-old Buckinghamshire, England startup that provides EV charging network, raised a $135.3 million financing from TPG, Infracapital, and Mitsubishi. More here.
Armada, a 3-year-old San Francisco, CA startup that provides modular AI data centers, raised a $131.0 million financing from Pinegrove, Veriten, Glade Brook, Founders Fund, Lux Capital, Shield Capital, 8090 Industries, M12, Overmatch, Silent Ventures, Felicis, and Marlinspike. More here.
