There aren’t many $100 million+ Series A’s so seeing two this week is pretty special. Pacific Fusion raised $900 million to produce nuclear energy, and Physical Intelligence raised $400 million to build foundational models for robots. These are the 8th and 25th largest Series A’s in the U.S. over the past decade.

Pacific Fusion, a 1-year-old Fremont, CA startup that provides energy using magnetic nuclear fusion, raised a $900.0 million Series A led by General Catalyst with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Breakthrough Energy, Elad Gil, Ken Griffin, Patrick Collison, Trousdale Ventures, John Doerr, Mustafa Suleyman, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, and Andrew Forrest. Physical Intelligence, a 2024-founded San Francisco, CA startup that develops foundational models for robots, raised a $400.0 million Series A led by Jeff Bezos, OpenAI, Thrive Capital, and Lux Capital with participation from Bond Venture Investments, Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Redpoint Ventures. BETA Technologies, a 12-year-old South Burlington, VT startup that develops eVOTL aircraft for transporting goods and people, raised a $318.0 million financing led by Qatar Investment Authority with participation from Fidelity, TPG, and United Therapeutics. More here.

MobilityPlus, an 8-year-old Ghent, Belgium startup that provides an electric vehicle charging platform, raised a $44.0 million financing led by Suma Capital with participation from Concentra. More here.

Merlin Solar, an 8-year-old San Jose, CA startup that produces durable, flexible solar panels, raised a $31.0 million Series B led by Fifth Wall with participation from Saint-Gobain and Ayala. More here.

Andium, a 10-year-old New York, NY startup that provides a wellsite management platform for the oil & gas industry, raised a $21.7 million Series B led by Aramco Ventures with participation from Climate Investment, Intrepid Financial Partners, and Thomas Miglis. More here.

Beyond Aero, a 4-year-old Paris, France startup that produces hydrogen-powered electric business aircraft, raised a $20.0 million Series A led by Giant Ventures and Bpifrance with participation from Initialized Capital, Nate Blecharczyk, and Arash Ferdowsi. More here.

Voze, a 24-year-old Sandy, UT startup that provides a sales platform for trucking and other industrial industries, raised a $12.0 million Series A led by Origin Ventures and Mercury with participation from Album VC and Pipeline Capital Partners. More here.

Ulysses Ecosystem Engineering, a 1-year-old San Francisco, CA startup that provides seagrass restoration services using robots, raised a $2.0 million Pre-Seed led by Lowercarbon Capital with participation from Superorganism and ReGen Ventures. More here.

Workorb AI, a 2-year-old Toronto, Canada startup that provides an AI-powered productivity suite for the architecture, engineering, and construction industries, raised a $1.9 million Seed led by Metavallon VC and Freedom of Innovation Ventures. More here.

Foodsi, a 5-year-old Lublin, Poland startup that provides a marketplace for surplus food from restaurants and stores, raised a $1.3 million Seed Extension with participation from AIP Seed, Satus Starter, and AC/VC Impact Fund. More here.

Flyted, a 4-year-old Sesto San Giovanni, Italy startup that provides an infrastructure inspection platform using drone technology, raised a $1.1 million Series A led by ClubDeal Digital. More here.

Air Transport Services Group, a 44-year-old Wilmington, OH company that provides mid-size cargo jet lessor services, was acquired by Stonepeak for $3.1 billion. More here.

RedCloud Technologies, a 12-year-old London, U.K. startup that provides a B2B inventory purchase platform, filed for an IPO, intending to raise $86.0 million. More here.
